Write an article to build credibility with your readers
There are many things you can do with articles that you have
written, but we are focusing on using the content as a "system"
for email marketing. So, here is what you can do.
The PRIMO advertising spot in all of the newsletter is the
Resource Box that comes at the end of your article. I mean
it stands to reason that once someone reads a good, quality
content they want to see who the heck wrote it...right??
Well, that is where they go to find out...AND...this is where
your email marketing system comes into play. A resource
box has your name and a web site address, in addition
to that you have a few more lines to entice a person to
to take some form of "action" which you control of course.
What do I mean...you ask??
Ummm, ok, that "action" could be a few lines enticing the
reader to:
- 1. sign up for an eCourse that you have
- 2. sign up for your newsletter
Those are the more obvious "actions" you could entice a
reader of your article to take. All of the above of course
give you the opportunity to get people onto your "list" and
enables you to follow up later using email marketing.
Now, if the people go to sign up for your report then BINGO
you have them in your email marketing system..however there
is a way to pretty much guarantee that they will take that
"action."
Here is what you do...
Write your piece so that it is in two parts. The first part
is the one that is published in the newsletter.
The second part is available to them via
autoresponder...see where I am going with this??
Ummm, let me give you an example...
Say I write a piece on "How to Write an Article That
Generates Sales and Builds Your List ALL AT THE SAME
Time!!" The content starts by going through the benefits
a business owners receives for their business by writing
content. Then I go through the 3 types of articles. Now
once they write then they are going to want to
learn what to do with it AND of course what do to if they
write several articles. So...what I do is this...
I find a logical break within the content and instead of
having one huge article I break it down into 2 or more
parts. I send the first part out to the publishers and load
the other part into an autoresponder. Within the Resource
Box I can say something like...
Today's piece is part one of a two part series.
To receive the remaining part send any email to
abc@yourautoresponder.com
See what is happening here???
The first part of the article is one that is generating some
good exposure...it captures the interest of the reader, it is
building trust and rapport with them. They finish it and read
the Resource Box where "ah huh, there is a second part that
I MUST HAVE!" From there...the action, of course, is to send
any email to the autoresponder to get the second part. Which
has just built a nice little list for me, focusing on article
writing and enables me to set up a follow up email marketing
system.
TA DA!!
One point...I mentioned "logical break" but not too logical.
What I mean to say is that you want to have a nice break but
one where it is going to leave them wanting more...which is
what they will get from signing up for the second part.
See how it works ;o)
Excellent!!
Imagine the potential you have for email marketing if you
were to write a few of these 2 part articles and the lists
you would be building in NO TIME??
Pretty exciting and productive when you think about it!

hand then check out
eZine Article Creator...
It all starts with just one step...get a topic for an article
and then sit down and write. I know, easy for me to say,
but it really isn't that hard once you get rolling. Then get
one of these little "systems" under your belt and you'll
be asking yourself WHY didn't you do this sooner ;o)
